"Leaving the mall" is a cyanotype belonging to my project "The others", a series of candid portraits made in the street with natural light. By not knowing the presence of the photographer, the photographed people are presented without a mask, more naked and transparent than they would be in a posed portrait. The camera frames transitional areas between shadow and light, waiting for the moment when passersby emerge from the darkness. The image presented is a photograph of a 40x50 cm blueprint made from a digital internegative. I'm interested in photography as a material object. Traditional photographic techniques allow me to experiment in this field and have full control of the entire creative process. "The others" is a work in progress I began in 2019.
